Got a haircut last week. Wow it's short. I haven't had hair this short since I was in high school. It's going to take a while to get used to especially since I can't seem to style it. Oh well...it will grow back.

Our school had a mock election today with the actual voting machine and ballots. The ballots were printed especially for our students and only had a place to vote for Obama or McCain. The kids had to bring their stundent ID's to a table where a worker (parent volunteer) crossed their name off the list and gave instructions on how to fill in the bubble. After the kids voted they brought their ballot to the ballot machine where it counted their vote.
Who won?
77 kids voted for McCain
230 voted for Obama
What a fun day. The kids were so excited that they got a chance to vote. They even got "i voted" stickers.
I'm almost finished with my Michigan lighthouse bulletin board. Michigan has over 120 lighthouses. I've only photographed 20 of them.

Aaack! I've got cat hair in my mouth. I'm trying to get some lighthouse research done for the school library and in cat keeps sticking her butt in my face! What is up with that?
I rescued about 4 indoor plants from my grandmas house a couple weeks ago. For some reason she didn't want to bring them with her when she moved so I decided that I would take them to school and put them in the library.
I was shocked to see that one of them actually started blooming flowers. You should know that I was born without a green thumb.
